Shipping Insurance Terms of Use (Ship-A-Griff)

By placing an order on our website, you agree to the following Shipping Insurance Terms of Use. These terms apply automatically to all shipped orders unless shipping insurance is explicitly declined at checkout.

1. Automatic Inclusion of Shipping Insurance
Shipping Protection is automatically added to the cart for all orders with shipping selected (excludes local pickup). The insurance fee is tiered based on your cart subtotal and appears as a separate line item. You may remove this item at checkout if you choose not to include protection.

2. What Shipping Insurance Covers
Ship-A-Griff Shipping Protection covers your order in the event of loss during transit, theft after delivery (with valid evidence), or damage caused by the carrier. If your insured package is lost, stolen, or arrives damaged, we will work with you to issue a replacement or refund, depending on product availability and your preference.

3. Submitting a Claim
A: You must file the claim after 7 business days from the shipping date and within 14 days of the order date. Submit the form HERE with your order number, tracking number, and photos (if applicable). Claims take 2–3 business days for processing.
Note: Ship-A-Griff may file the carrier claim (USPS/UPS) on your behalf when applicable.

4. Limitations and Exclusions
Shipping Protection does not cover:

  • Incorrect or incomplete delivery addresses provided by the customer

  • Orders marked as “delivered” by the carrier with no visible signs of theft

  • Delivery delays caused by weather, customs, or carrier disruptions

  • International duties, taxes, or customs-related fees

  • Orders where protection was removed at checkout

5. Opting Out of Shipping Protection
You may decline shipping insurance at checkout by removing the protection product from your cart. By opting out, you accept full responsibility for any loss, damage, or theft. No replacement or refund will be issued for uninsured orders. We will not assist with USPS/UPS claim processes for orders that declined protection.

6. Coverage Limits
Coverage is limited to the value of your order subtotal. Maximum reimbursement will not exceed the total cost of the items purchased (excluding shipping and taxes). Coverage fees are non-refundable once the order has shipped.

7. Fraud and Abuse
We reserve the right to deny claims that appear to be fraudulent or abusive. This includes, but is not limited to: submitting multiple claims for the same issue, providing false information or photos, or filing claims on behalf of others. Abuse of the Shipping Protection policy may result in account suspension or refusal of future service.

8. Legal and Dispute Resolution
By accepting these terms, you agree to resolve any disputes regarding this policy via binding arbitration in the State of Florida. You waive your right to participate in a class action or jury trial related to any dispute involving shipping protection.
Ship-A-Griff and Griffin Distribution and Services, LLC are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from shipping delays or issues where shipping insurance was declined.

9. Policy Updates
We reserve the right to update or modify this Shipping Insurance Policy at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of our store constitutes acceptance of the most current terms.
